Internet Service Providers (ISP's)

An Internet Service Provider or an ISP is the source which provides users with internet access. This could be from company's such as BT, Talk Talk etc. The internet provider then provides the user with a rooter which can be wired or wireless and it also provides different types of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Without an ISP the user cannot access the internet.

Web Host Services

A web host service is a type of internet hosting service that allows the user to make their website accessible through the internet.  This can be for example  if the user wants to set up a website of their own the web hosting service allows them to do this.

Web hosting services work by providing high-powered computers (web servers) with a high-speed network for your website to live on. When someone types in your web address such as "www." they will be connected to your web server where they can surf and download the pages of your website.

World Wide Web

The Internet is a worldwide system of interconnected computer networks. When you connect your computer to the Internet via your Internet Service Provider (ISP) you become part of the ISPs network, which is connected to other networks that make up the Internet.

The World Wide Web (WWW or Web for short) is the part of the Internet that you can access using a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. It consists of a large number of web servers that host websites. Each website will normally consist of a number of web pages. A web page can contain text, images, video, animation and sound.
